Let's Be Clear: What We're NOT

  • Not a law firm - We don't provide legal advice or represent clients
  • Not an immigration agency - We don't submit applications or act as intermediaries
  • Not your legal representative - We have no official relationship with Thai immigration
  • Not liable for outcomes - Immigration decisions are ultimately up to officers, not us

What We ARE

StampStay is a visa guidance service run by someone who has spent years helping travelers navigate Thailand's visa requirements through Reddit, forums, and personal consultations.

We provide informational guidance based on:

  • Real patterns observed from hundreds of visa situations
  • Official immigration requirements and embassy policies
  • Verified reports from the traveler community
  • Current trends in immigration enforcement

Think of us as an experienced friend who's helped many people through the same situation you're facing - not an official advisor, but someone who knows the patterns and can point you in the right direction.

How StampStay Started

It started on Reddit. Over the past 2+ years, I found myself answering the same visa questions over and over in r/ThailandTourism, r/Thailand, and other communities.

People were stressed, confused by conflicting advice, and worried about making expensive mistakes. The official embassy websites didn't match reality. Facebook groups had outdated information. Everyone had a story about "their friend who got denied."

After helping hundreds of travelers for free, patterns became clear:

  • What immigration officers actually care about vs. what they say they care about
  • Which embassies are strict vs. flexible
  • What "too many stamps" actually means in practice
  • How to prepare documents that actually get approved

StampStay was born from those thousands of Reddit comments and DMs. People kept asking if they could pay for personalized guidance instead of piecing together general advice from multiple threads.

Now we offer both: Free FAQs and blog posts for common questions, and paid reviews for complex situations that need personalized analysis.

Our Approach

1. Honest Risk Assessment

We won't sugarcoat your situation. If you have 6 visa-exempt entries in 8 months, we'll tell you that's a red flag - and explain what you can do about it.

2. Pattern-Based Guidance

Our advice comes from seeing hundreds of similar situations. We know what actually gets people approved or denied - not just what the official rules say.

3. Current Information

Immigration rules change. Embassy policies shift. We stay updated through community reports, official sources, and direct feedback from customers.

4. No Gatekeeping

Most visa advice should be free. Our FAQs and blog posts cover 80% of common questions. We only charge for personalized analysis of complex situations.

Where Our Information Comes From

Our guidance is based on information collected from:

  • Online communities (Reddit, forums, Facebook groups)
  • Official embassy websites and immigration pages
  • Direct customer reports from people we've helped
  • Publicly available policy updates and announcements
  • Verified experiences from the expat/traveler community

Important: Information gathered from online sources may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. We do our best to verify and cross-reference, but you should always confirm critical information with official sources before making decisions.

Your Responsibility

Using StampStay means you understand that:

  • You are responsible for verifying all information with official sources
  • Immigration decisions are ultimately up to officers, not our guidance
  • Rules and enforcement can change at any time without notice
  • We hold no responsibility for visa denials, entry refusals, or other outcomes
  • This is informational guidance only - not legal or official advice

Why We Charge (For Some Things)

We give away most advice for free through our FAQ and blog. But personalized reviews take time:

  • Reading and analyzing your full entry history
  • Researching embassy-specific requirements
  • Comparing multiple visa options for your situation
  • Writing detailed, tailored recommendations
  • Following up with clarifications

A personalized review can take 1-3 hours depending on complexity. We charge to make that time sustainable.

Our goal: Make general advice free for everyone, charge fairly for personalized analysis, and keep prices lower than traditional visa agencies.
