Our Mission
StampStay analyzes your travel history to estimate immigration scrutiny risk before entering Thailand.
Most travelers assume immigration decisions are rule-based. In practice, Thai immigration officers evaluate patterns — entry frequency, cumulative stay, visa history, border run behavior. These patterns are invisible to most travelers. We make them visible.
Our Philosophy
Immigration decisions are rarely random. They are pattern-based.
Officers look at your passport history as a whole — not just your current visa. How frequently you enter. How long you stay. Whether you are doing border runs. Whether your visa types have changed.
StampStay analyzes those patterns. We provide clarity before travel — not after a denial.
What We Analyze
Entry Frequency
How often you enter Thailand. High frequency within a short period is a primary scrutiny trigger.
Cumulative Stay
Total days in Thailand over 12 months. Extended cumulative stays on visa exemptions are a recognized pattern.
Border Run Behavior
Repeated exits and re-entries to reset stays. Frequency and crossing points are both evaluated.
Visa Switching
Changing entry types across visits. Switching between visa exempt and tourist visa is a monitored pattern.
Why StampStay Exists
I'm a digital nomad who has been living and building across Asia and Southeast Asia for several years. Thailand has been a consistent base — but the reason StampStay exists has nothing to do with Thailand. It starts with a honeymoon.
On the day of our wedding, we were denied entry to New Zealand. Not because of anything fraudulent. Not because of bad intent. The visa application hadn't clearly communicated that this was a honeymoon trip — and with a complex travel history, a busy schedule, and a lot happening at once, the application didn't tell the story clearly enough for the immigration officer to trust it.
We had booked flights, hotels, experiences. All of it had to be cancelled on the day. It was a significant financial loss — and more than that, it was a lesson that hit hard: immigration decisions are not just about rules. They are about patterns, intent, and how your travel history looks to a stranger making a fast decision at a desk.
We rerouted the honeymoon to Thailand. And from that point, I started studying how immigration actually works — not what the official rules say, but how officers evaluate the signals in front of them.
Thailand became both a home base and a research subject. Being on and off Thailand for years, observing entry patterns across visa types, and watching how policies evolved gave a ground-level picture that no official guideline captures.
StampStay was built to solve the problem we experienced: travelers with genuine, legitimate intentions getting caught out not by bad behaviour, but by a travel pattern that looks wrong to someone reading stamps in a passport.
The goal is calm, clarity, and peace of mind — before you reach the border.
The Reddit Community & How We've Helped
Much of the pattern research behind StampStay came from years of answering questions in r/Thailand, r/ThailandTourism, and related subreddits. Over 500 people have been helped directly through those threads — working through entry denials, border run concerns, visa switching questions, and DTV eligibility assessments.
That community work is what built the pattern database StampStay is built on.
Independence Notice
StampStay is an independent platform. It has no affiliation with, connection to, or relationship with any visa agent, visa agency, or individual visa consultant operating in Thailand or elsewhere — including anyone operating under the name “Chad Scira” or similar operations.
StampStay does not collect agent fees, does not act as a visa intermediary, and does not submit applications on behalf of users. We provide informational pattern analysis only. If you have encountered a scam operation misrepresenting itself as affiliated with StampStay, please disregard it — no such affiliation exists.
StampStay is here to help travelers — not to exploit them.

Data Privacy & How We Use Your Information
When you use the Risk Checker or submit a paid analysis, you share travel history data with us. Here is exactly what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What we collect
Risk Checker responses (nationality, visa type, entry frequency, stay duration, border runs, visa history). Email address if you choose to provide it. No passport numbers, payment card details, or government ID are ever collected through the tool.
How we use it
To generate your risk score and analysis. Anonymised, aggregated data builds the immigration pattern intelligence dataset that improves scoring accuracy over time. Individual records are never sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.
Email communications
If you provide your email, you may receive your risk summary and occasional Thailand immigration updates. You can unsubscribe at any time with a single click. We use Sender.net for email delivery — no cold outreach, no list selling.
Data storage & security
Data is stored securely via Upstash (Redis), hosted on infrastructure compliant with modern security standards. We do not store raw passport data. Risk check records are anonymised for analysis purposes.
GDPR & international privacy
If you are located in the EU or UK, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. To exercise these rights, contact us directly. We comply with GDPR principles including data minimisation, purpose limitation, and user rights. StampStay does not engage in automated decision-making that produces legal effects.
Data retention
Risk check records are retained for up to 12 months for analysis improvement, then anonymised. Email subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. You may request deletion of your records at any time.
